The Perfect Zerg Build Order

So the title is a little confusing because any good Starcraft 2 player knows that there is no one perfect build order but just perfect build orders for different situations. This guide will teach you the base build order for Zerg that you must always start off with.
First off lets talk about some common mistakes that Zerg players make with their build orders. Build order:
Start off by just making drones until you get 9 and then build an overlord. When the overlord finishes build 4 more drones and then start a spawning pool. While the spawning pool is building make one extractor, put 3 drones on it and continue to make drones. I normally pump out a handful of zerglings to go scout or harass while I upgrade to a lair for hydralisks.

Zerg Versus Terran Basic Strategy

When playing against a Terran player you must always keep an eye out for reaper rushes early on, to counter this make sure you keep a few zerglings close to your drones. The most common Terran strategy is to use the marine/marauder with either dropships or tanks or in some cases both. Roaches do very poorly against marauders, because marauders do extra damage against armored units and roaches are armored. The key here is to expand early and keep Terran from expanding with your speedlings. After you have established your second base just keep building up your army and starve out the Terran player. Be sure to keep an eye on all of the extra possible base locations and if Terran tries to expand take it out quickly. A few other things you need to watch for when playing Terran are the dropship attacks and the cloaked banshee attacks on your main base. We have a harder time beating Terran then we do beating a Protoss player.

Zerg’s Best Counter Units

Playing against Terran: When playing against a good Terran player you must be ready to change which unit you are using at a second’s notice. The key to beating a good Terran player is having the right units at the right time. Marines and Marauders – build speed upgraded zerglings and banelings
Tanks and Thors – Why just build some infestors of course and turn those tanks back on the Terran player
Banshees and Vikings – Build hydralisks and corruptors and you will not have any trouble controlling the air
The colossus can wreak havoc on a Zerg player if he is not ready. Below I have included the main units that a Protoss player will use and which Zerg unit is the best to taking it out.
Zealots and Stalkers – Again just build speed upgraded zerglings and banelings, roaches and hydralisks will also do the trick
Immortals – The key to beating an immortal is without question a speed upgraded zergling attack
Colossus – Either get infestors or corruptors but do not attack this unit with zerglings roaches or hydralisks, as the colossus will make short work of them

Protoss Vs Zerg Basic Strategy

Playing against a good Zerg player can be challenging but with the right units a Protoss player can dominate. This guide will show you how to beat a Zerg player 1v1 by using the right unit counters and scouting techniques.
Of course there is one other major option that a Zerg player can use and that is building infestors. A good Zerg player with infestors can be a big problem for us so keep an eye out for these and if you see them coming the smartest thing to do is build some air units such as void rays or phoenix to handle the infestors from the air. If you follow this guide and learn the strenghts and weaknesses of your units then beating even a very good Zerg player can be a breeze.

Terran Harassment Strategy

In Starcraft 2 harassment is the name of the game. If you can keep yourself one step ahead of your opponent by using harassment techniques, chances are you’ll pull out a win in the end. This is especially true when playing as Terran. In this guide I will show you the basics of effective Terran harassment.
Vikings are possibly my favorite Terran unit. A lot of newer players will easily dismiss them as “useless” since they don’t attack ground units unless in assault mode. One of the best maps for viking harassment is kulas ravine. A 1v1 map that has of lot of high ground overlooking mineral expansion points. If the Zerg player expands early get a starport and build a few vikings. You can drop them on the high ground right overlooking the expansion. Tactics like this are also useful when playing against a Protoss player as well.
